In the world where I live I met those
Who made me strong by beating me,
Who made me brave by scaring me,
Who made me wise by fooling me,
But none who would make me helpless by helping me

In the world where I live
I get rid of my enemies
By turning them into friends,
I get rid of my troubles
By turning them into lessons.

In the world where I live I know those
Who became experienced through making mistakes,
Who acquired immunity against sickness through getting sick,
Who saved others through sacrificing themselves,
But none who would be delighted by delighting themselves.

In the world where I live
My life would be worthless
IF it were not tested,
My happiness would be dull
If it were accessible.
